There's enough of them around right now that they feed on each other. I must have passed out a few dozen red reps these last couple of days. Doesn't mean anything to them but makes me feel better. :D

I'm looking forward to whatever is in store for the forum.

    This for the win.

I'm going to have to disagree with Grad here and say that the mods have not been instructed to not delete or ban anyone. I've been quite clear that the mods have ultimate discretion but that in general we need to be more open and tolerant of opposing viewpoints and a little more tolerant of posters that express their viewpoint a little harshly.

This forum is for all LSU fans and obviously not everyone is going to share the same opinions and personality styles. As our tent gets bigger there are going to be new people we always don't agree with or like. This forum is loaded with features that enable ignoring, private discussions via social groups, private messages, etc. Of course there is always the ultimate choice of just ignoring nor not reading a member's posts.

Trolling is still not allowed and no one person is allowed to take over the forum. The mods still have the power to delete and ban anyone they see fit, I've merely asked them in general to try and be more tolerant of more points of view and styles of posting.

In the end this forum strives to be a place where everyone is allowed to have their voice heard while at the same time keeping a structure that promotes civility. With thousands of registered users and visitors this is a very difficult task. We're not always going to agree and everyone is going to have their own definition of "civility" and "free speech".

Given this extraordinarily difficult task of trying to please thousands of people of varying opinions, it helps if everyone would try to understand that in a public and open forum, there will invariably be things we read and see that we don't like. We are not going to ban people because they post unpopular things. We aren't going to ban or delete people because they are "negative".

None of the moderators are paid for the work they do here so it would really help if we try to bother them as little as possible. As lsufaninmiss posted, the best way to handle a troll is to ignore them. If they continue to really become a nuisance then please use the "report post" feature under the user's name. If they continue to exceed our membership standards they will be warned or banned.

As Grad mentioned, TigerForums is growing and we will be rolling out some cool new features. There will be a lot of new changes hopefully for the better. New look. New features and new name, TigerFan.com

We're a work in progress. Some changes will be great and I'm sure some people won't like some new things or change. We won't please everyone but we sure as heck try. We've always put our members first and listened to feedback.

Even with a more liberal posting policy, I still feel TigerForums.com is the best place for Tiger fans to discuss all things LSU. We are the only LSU forum that gives it's members the ability to create their own custom public or private groups/forums. You can have your own forum for your own group of friends, club, family, whatever. You control the forum and moderate it as you see fit. To be honest, I've done a poor job of making this feature known.

In the coming weeks we are going to be posting more tutorials and information regarding all of the features we have to offer in our new "New Member and Help Forum". I'll also be releasing some more information regarding the new site launch as we get closer to it.

As always feel free to post your opinions or comments here or the help forum. Our goal as it has always been is to give you the best forum in the world.

Sides, who really wants to hear me bitch in exchange? I choose to ignore the rant by simply not being part of it. Or so I try!

you two ladies need to take it to pm to hash out your little personal board policies.

and if we sold out, cool. more hits equals more money for somebody.

but you may want to refund the dudes who pay regularly as opposed to those on the gravy train. that is, if we sold out and are going for more hits now.

mastermind paid mine off so you can send it back to him.

I find it funny because some of the long time posters here have gone ape shyt recently.
Posters should operate with the highest of integrity and things will be fine.
