There are several states that have no state income tax on either individuals or corporations. Nevada, Texas, Florida and Delawae that I know of. I Have lived in both Texas and Florida. Both of those states have a billions of dollar budget but they manage to provide the services that we have come to expect from our state governments as well as run their whole states without usurping the earned income of their private and corporate citizens. The sales taxes in neither state are exorbitant, but they manage to have better roads and and better educational systems than many other states. I don't see why that can't be done on a national level
You get what you pay for. Texas has no income tax, but they have 80 other taxes that they collect including the 2nd-highest property taxes in the country. Louisiana is #50 which is why we don't have chit.
I didn't own any property when I lived in Texas and Floriday but as a renter I was able to rent suitable housing at a reasonable rate. I'm sure that the owners of those properties had to pay a high property tax rate but not so high that they couldn't charge reasonable rental rates
