Not to mention....I didn't hear this myself, but my brother said the announcers quoted CBK as saying the team "wasn't taking Arkansas seriously." After the FSU game, that shouldn't happen, ever! But that video tells me its true.
considering you used the phrase "watered" I'm going to assume to know which previous coach you are talking about. we were averaging over 6.5 yards per carry. that watered would have run them into submission. Diggs was averaging 7 per carry. he would have gotten about 10 more carries than he did. wrong. we don't have the personnel to play zone. both Harris and Zy Alexander are excellent in man. neither are anything special in zone. this is actually the first intelligent thing I have ever seen you post on multiple boards now. ESPECIALLY in a zone scheme. everyone has to be where they are supposed to be. If not, the whole scheme collapses. some exotic schemes do a mixture of zone and man (different positions playing different schemes). but it is still predicated on everyone doing their job. this has been a trend for way too many years now. even Herbie talked abut how when the PigFuckers win "The Boot" it's put under a spotlight on display in the middle of Campus. when we win it, we wipe it down and toss it behind all the trophies that actually matter. at absolute best, they're what 6th biggest annual rival we have? and we are their Super Bowl.
Here we go again, you are a bit too consumed with what you think you know. If we don't have the personnel to play zone then why are we in it so much? I'll leave it at that
I think I said as much in the game thread. They care about The Boot because its the only trophy they have a shot at winning. No SEC or NC championships coming their way any time soon. We, on the other hand, have 3 NC's and 5 SEC's in the last 20 years. Hard to get excited about a PR Department-created "rivalry" trophy when you can say that.
I feel like though, that our championship years are guys do want it all. I think its pretty noticeable when you look back. I kinda wish we came out to destroy everyone. I mean, who doenst like that?
I’d never argue about the need to have the right attitude. Unfortunately, I have stated for years, on this board, that it seems we have too many players every year, that think the journey is over when they make the team. In reality, their journey is just starting at that point.
