Best of luck to LSU in this matchup, it should be a great game.

There is a lot to play for obviously on both sides. With Ohio State, we are playing to get respect back from a lot of people.

Good luck and I look forward to learning more about your team in the coming month or so.

In 2002, everyone knew that Miami was going to kill OSU.

In 2006, everyone knew that OSU was going to kill Florida.

Now, everyone knows that LSU is going to kill OSU.

Of course, this is a bit of a stupid theory because the favorite normally wins. Everyone knew that OSU was going to kill Youngstown State and they did. Everyone knew that LSU was going to kill Middle Tennessee State and they did.

Is there any area in which OSU can match up with LSU? Seriously.

Time for me to start watching tOSU film. We already know the running attack is going to work.. any word on their CBs matching up against our WRs?

Or how about our slot vs their LBs?

Malcolm Jenkins is an absolute stud at corner, who i look for to do a good job on Doucet.

Donald Washington has been a nice surprise, who also roams around in the secondary, but the 2 HUGE defensive playmakers you're going to want to watch for is james laurinaitis, and Vernon Gholston. Gholston is a beast of a DE, and Laurinaitis is just all over the field.

It should be a great game, Ohio State has an amazing defense though to be honest, they're extremely solid on that side of the ball, the scariest part of being a buckeye fan is when boeckman drops back to put the ball in the air.

Ohio States D has some problems with teams that run out of a spread like Illinois with Juice Williams. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe LSU runs more of a conventional type offense? i know they go out of the spread somewhat, but not consistently, correct?

I've watched them a few times this year, they're definitely a scary team, I don't know if i can wait til the 7th for this one, but i guess i will, i was saying the same thing about the oklahoma game this week, lol.

You know, or should know, that were are not "the most talented team in the nation." Go to Scout.com and Rivals.com and look up the rankings of the recruiting classes that currently represent the NCAA football teams in 2007. There are many other teams in this country with the same level as talent as LSU. See for yourself:

    Georgia 2007 (10-2)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #6, Rivals #6
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #4, Rivals #10
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #4, Rivals #4

    LSU 2007 (11-2)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #2, Rivals #2
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #19, Rivals #22
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #7(t), Rivals #7

    Florida 2007 (9-3)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #8, Rivals #7
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #11, Rivals #15
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #2, Rivals #2

    Tennessee 2007 (9-4)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #9, Rivals #11
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #1, Rivals #4
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #24, Rivals #23

    Ohio State 2007 (11-1)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #11, Rivals #9
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #7, Rivals #12
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #13, Rivals #12

    Michigan 2007 (8-4)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #5, Rivals #5
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #2, Rivals #6
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #9(t), Rivals #13

    Oklahoma 2007 (11-2)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #7, Rivals #8
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #5, Rivals #3
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #7(t), Rivals #9

    Texas 2007 (9-3)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #10, Rivals #10
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #13, Rivals #20
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #3, Rivals #5

    USC 2007 (10-2)
    Seniors (2004 recruiting class) -- Scout #1, Rivals #1
    Juniors (2005 recruiting class) -- Scout #6, Rivals #1
    Sophomores (2006 recruiting class) -- Scout #1, Rivals #1

Also go to Rivals Power Rankings and look up how they rank the players in the country (the current power rankings haven't been updated yet for the performances this weekend).

As of last week's rankings, you will see:

    LSU has seven top 25 guys -- a #17 QB, a #12 WR, a #15 guy on the OL, a #1 guy on the DL, a #20 LB, a #20 CB and a #3 DB.

    Ohio State has seven top 25 guys -- a #25 QB, a #4 RB, a #16 WR, a #3 guy on the OL, a #6 guy on the OL, a #2 LB, and a #4 CB.

LSU has two top 10 guys -- a #1 guy on the DL, and a #3 DB.

Ohio State has five top 10 guys -- a #4 RB, a #3 guy on the OL, a #6 guy on the OL, a #2 LB, and a #4 CB.

So don't give me that crap about how we are have this team that is in a whole different league than the rest of college football, and how our coach sucks because he didn't go undefeated with them. I think all you are trying to do is play on the stupidity of Tiger fans who hate Miles and use them to hurt the moral of Tiger Nation (but if you were just honestly ignorant of the facts, then I apologize).

Wow, thats a great conspiracy theory, but to be honest, those rankings you show me nothing.

AJ Hawk was a 3 Star.
Justin Zwick was the best thing since sliced bread when he was recruited.

It's what the players turn into, not what their status is before they're recruited. LSU is one of the most complete teams, and in my opinion the most talented in the nation. You don't have to agree with me, and that is fine, i'm just telling you the way I feel based on games I watch.

The comments I made had nothing behind them to be an insult in any way, I really don't feel Miles is a very good coach, but I thought i made that fairly clear in the post, in a respectful manner, however i don't feel my comments were ignorant either. The call he made to go for the endzone in the Alabama game i believe it was, was absolutely asinine, because that was a tipped ball away from being game over, when they were in field goal range. The other one that comes to mind was the 4th down attempt that worked out against florida when the field goal wouldve tied the game. These are two scenarios that worked out for the best, but couldve been absolute disaster.

Again, I mean no disrespect by this, I believe you guys have an absolutely stellar team, I just feel they're winning in spite of Les Miles, rather than because of him.
