What does it say about the Republicans that Donald Trump is 2nd behind another Bush right now.

About the same thing as it says about Democrats when Bernie Sanders is number 2 and rising against HRC. It's just name recognition, noise and media blather.

These numbers are meaningless especially for the Republicans. It will be some time before the field windows all but the truly serious candidates.

Bernie is the only candidate talking about real issues. Just because you think he's a socialist means nothing. I hate to break it to you but part of our government is socialized, and him saying we can learn a lot from Scandanavian style socialism is true. Anyone who thinks we can't learn things from the way other countries do them is really narrow minded.

Well HE calls himself a socialist. I don't know why you refuse to accept that. While parts of our government are indeed socialized, that doesn't mean we should add more to the society. One of the tenants of socialism is a belief in top down central management of the society and economy. I doubt you'd like it very much.
What so many ignore aboutScandanavian socialism is that it has evolved over a long time in small homogenous countries. What fits there won't necessarily fit here. In fact it's breaking down in Scandanavia as immigration brings in non Scandanavians who don't share the same ethic.

There is a difference between learning from others and aping them. One of the things that helped the U.S. grow over the years is the fact that each state had/had the independence to find the way that worked for them. In a country as big and diverse as the U.S. one centrally controlled path is a path to chaos or stagnation. To assume importing other countries' systems is a solution to ours is naive.
