if I lived closer (like within 1 hour) I'd be there for every game. Even if I had to be up in the nose bleed section. The experience is what it's all about.

My college room mate was very wealthy and from El Salvador...He would hook me up with very good looking "Hot Tamales" that didn't want to go to the games. I was in heaven. I could go to the games and act like an idiot, and then walk to the girl's dorms and pick up my date AFTER the game for the parties.

I think I only dated one or two American girls because of that.

The Louisiana girls all wanted to go to the game with me. I kept explaining to them that I wasn't very "nice" at the games.

I am fluent in Spanish today because of those ladies. I learned a lot of Romantic things to say. My favorite was "When I am near you in the swimming pool, our passion boils the water between us !!" "Before I die, love me one more time my little empanada !!!"

But back on track.... It looked like the punting was much better this week. And another week of Mett looking like a high NFL draft choice gives me cause to breathe easier about the Offense.

Bad....the depth on the D-line. I really expected more.

It still has it's swagger when it needs it. Had AU been a top 10 team and/or if the game had been closer, most would have stayed. You never see it empty like that for an SEC game that's close.

I hear you. I didn't mean to suggest the call was lucky - the kicker clearly caught it 1/2 yard too early, and it was reviewed correctly. But, I think it is clear that he would have still recovered it a 1/2 yard later, so we were "lucky" in that sense. Our guys were back pedaling minus one, who was not in position to make the recovery even if it travels one more yard. Then, AUB was about to score w/1:43 or so left to play - which meant we would have had to face another on-sides kick. If you asked me at 21-0 if we would have to face 1, let alone 2, on-side kicks, I would have said heck no, we will crush this team 49-10, or something like that. Just unnecessary to even be in that position w/the way the offense was clicking. Mett was 9 for 11 after his INT, so CLM shouldn't have been too nervous about that. He just does not want to blow out people, which is admirable, but makes it harder for his own team than it needs to be. I had no doubt we would win the game - just critiquing the Good, Bad, and Ugly, and that part of the game plan deserves another category.... the Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and the Unnecessary.

Sparse crowd on hand for Georgia-North Texas
    By Chip Towers

ATHENS -- Greetings from Sanford Stadium. I'm sitting here in the press box with Tim Tucker, Jeff Schultz and videographer Ryan Horne. We're set to bring you wall-to-wall coverage of No. 9 Georgia's game today against North Texas.

Right now, just an hour or so before kickoff, it appears that the great majority of the Bulldog Nation has chosen to watch this game from the comfort of their homes on WPCH (SEC-TV). I was late leaving for the stadium today and just breezed right in. Understandable that the time of kickoff, the opponent and an 80 percent chance of rain might have discouraged some folks from venturing out to watch the game. However, most of the wet stuff is predicted to get here late in the afternoon and the game should be completed by then.

When you play teams with talent almost all games are going to have an ebb and flow. Momentum is going to swing back and forth. I don't believe Miles nor Cameron took their foot off the pedal so that we wouldn't crush Auburn, they believed in the plays they called. Heck, we took that 21-0 lead by running the ball.

In the same vain I don't believe that Chief was holding back on D in the second half. Auburn just started making plays and our guys didn't. That's football, we've seen the tide change in games forever.
