I agree, the DBs arent well coached. LSU is not at well coached team in ANY facet outside of the play calling and improvement of Mett. The D has zero communication, especially in the secondary. The team cant tackle worth a damn. Poor pursuit angles. The OL cant run block and have too many false starts.
Im not saying there isnt a decent coach. Im saying that they arent doing a good job this year. Big difference. I know there is a lot of youth on the team but to still have the lack of communication we have on D is inexcusable. I know with youth it will happen but this is too often. The poor tackling shouldnt happen. The constant false starts. I think Brick has done a decent job, the DL doesnt get sacks but they get a decent push, its just we cant/dont blitz to help with the sacks.
Even the gumps are underperforming on defense at times this season. Just sayin. It's what happens when you lose so much talent to the NFL draft in one season. If you think that these youngsters should be on the same level as a Mo Claiborne, Patrick Peterson, Eric Reid, Kevin Minter, KeKe Mingo, at this point in their career, you may need to tone your expectations down a little.
The gumps are still undefeated though and just shut out a pretty damn good Ole Miss team. They arent the Bama D we use to but they still getting the job though. THey have the same youth issues we have, lets be honest though. They have more discipline and are a better coached team.
Whatever. I think he is a classless prick with zero integrity. He QUIT on the Dolphins and couldnt handle losing because he has no character. So much for me blowing him. Im just calling it like I see it. He is clearly the best coach right now. I hate him but I cant deny that fact.
they all had a bad game but he's had a bad game every week. On one of the wide open touchdowns, he was playing zone and passing the receiver off to the next man. The problem is he's a safety so there is no next man after him. He's just watching from 15 yds away as the receiver is running into the end zone. Against Auburn, the two biggest plays of the game for them, he was the safety making a horrible play on the ball... Tre White got beat, but it was a perfect pass against perfect coverage. My girl don't watch football but she knows Micah's number...
I'm still not sold on Thompson, I know we have lost Peterson, and Claiborne, and Mathieu, and Taylor, Brooks and Reid, but Ron Cooper was the big loss. Who were all those guys other than PP, without Ron Cooper? But I think Chavis and the gang should have recognized 2 things. 1. We can't get pressure with our front 4. 2. The refs aren't calling PI. Then you start sending ppl on the blitz and tell your db's to mug the receivers. If Murray burns us hell he's burning us anyway at least we are getting some shots on him.
