We don't know if Shepard can throw the ball in a game effectively. We didn't know Ridley could carry the ball until we played Tulane and he was allowed to show us.
I don't remember RP getting a chance to throw the ball until Flynn was injured.

What part of his game is even a top college quarterback skill let alone a NFL type skill set.

This is not a slam on JJ...I'm actually pretty happy with his play this year considering his lack of experience. But why do you even consider this? Be honest, do you really think he's going to be in a position to go pro after his Jr. year?

***ETA*** Should've read the rest of the thread...but dayum.

I don't think this will happen at all. JJ is too vested in this QB system right now. I don't think we'll see too much of RS at the fulltime QB position at all at LSU. Not saying he doesn't have it in him, but that's just my feeling. Maybe splitting time.

I also don't see JJ leaving early, either, which is another reason that I don't think RS will start. But if we have him and Garrett battling out the QB position as our only woes in the future, then I'd be happy with that.

there we go... or are you the only one that can change quotes? :thumb:
