No one looks past us anymore. We're just two seasons removed from being national champs. That target's going to be on our backs for a long time.

With that being said, I live 20 miles from UNT, and whoever thinks they are "confident," is a bit off. They are below consideration from even The Dallas Morning News. We can't look past them, but we should handle them easily. And I don't think we battle for the same recruits at all. Theirs are a tier or two below ours--not to say that great players don't come out of small programs, but Mean Joe Green is still the only one UNT can claim.

That is the mindset that can get you in trouble. NEVER LOOK PAST AN OPPONENT!!!!!! When you do that, that's when those, "push over" teams can bite you in the ass!! Remember the year we beat #1 Florida and lost the next week to Ole Miss. You take the season ONE game at a time!!!

North Texas is a damn fine football team. They have a can run and have potential. LSU will dominate them with sound defence because they will PREPARE for them the same way they prepare for every other team.

Im just giving my opinion. Great teams play their season one game at a time.

lol precisely... we're not the team, so it's okay for us to look ahead... it's what we're supposed to do... expectations and what not.

The team only plays hard when this Internet board takes one game at a time.

Agreed. My point was simply that any coach looking past an opponent and toward the next opponent is riding for a fall. :thumb:

Remember when Florida came into town during the National Championship season? The fans and the team were almost nonchalant about the game. The atmosphere was off. We all know what happened that game. If the fans can be the "sixth man" to a team, then it can definately take the edge off a team as well.
