Will Saban fly from Atlanta to the BCS bowl announcement meeting? I wonder what time he will personally know the outcome? Where is this held? Can I buy a ticket on e-bay.... -:)

just kidding. Ironically, I fly to Los Angeles on business in the morning. I land at LAX at 2:10 pacific time, just in time to see the show at the airport. I will, of course, be wearing my favorite LSU shirt and hat!

Well, I'm 40 and started putting $15 per year per ticket away since birth for the LSU NC game or Saints Superbowl. That's the only way I can rationalize it.
If the tigers don't go, i'll have some quick selling to do.

Not quite how it works, to the best of my knowledge. The ESPN Coaches poll is obligated to vote the winner of the Sugar Bowl (this year) the #1 team. However the AP sportswriters voters are under no obligation. These are the two polls that are traditionally recognized as having the authority and stature to choose the #1 team at the end of all of the bowl games. Usually (even before the BCS) they would agree, but occasionally there'd be a split decision, so to speak. The main goal of the BCS is to try to match up the two best teams, which in theory should minimize split decisions.

In my opinion, they should pick one computer poll, or create a brand-new computer poll, and eliminate all other polls. Then, they should average the two human polls with the single human poll to arrive at the BCS rankings. If the polls (including the new computer poll) already take strength of schedule, win-losses, and quality wins, then we shouldn't need everything else as separate components.

Forget Colley, I already went on his website and projected a K-State along with LSU, USC, Syracuse and Boise State winning...and OU is still a strong 2nd.....

That's how far ahead they are.....their SOS is so much better (0.40) than USC (1.40) or LSU (1.20)

The irony doesn't stop there - I land in LA on business Monday afternoon!

I have to wear my business clothes, but I'll be sporting my LSU ball cap! We should compare experiences - Although, I'm pretty sure that most of my office are UCLA fans. I'm sure I'll get some kind of comment. Hah...and my boss is a huge UT(exas) fan. Sorry man...no BCS for you!

Before the Tech game, (and after several martinis) I guaranteed him that LSU would win out and win the SECCG. I only BARELY stopped short of guaranteed the NC.

    How SWEET it is!!!!

You're surrounded by Yankees, and I'm surrounded by Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee fans here in Huntsville, AL. My oldest son is in the Tiger Band. He call me just before they stepped off to play pregame tonight. Left the phone on in his band jacket, so my wife and other kids all gathered around my cell phone to listen. Is that cool, or what?? My youngest son and I bought a 15 foot length of PVC pipe, and attached our LSU flag to it, then bolted it to our picket fence in the front yard! Fly the colors with pride! Good Lord this is great!!! He was on the front page of the BR Advocate after the GA game. We've logged 5500 miles this year between Huntsville and Tiger Town. Need new tires now!
