This just in.....Timmy Chang just came in for Hawaii....it's all over for USC.....Boise State up by 17 and this kid can't throw worth shit
Regarding Div 1-AA games: Again, I use Rich Tellshow who has the SOS projected accurately. He only shows a 1-3 record for W. Illinois.
islstl, I consider myself very knowledgeable about this stuff, and I read the Tellshow/Brad Edwards/Jerry Palm/etc. info -- I even amaze friends about how much I know about this stuff -- but your research and analysis is a big time step up. I love the #s, too, and I wish I could have devoted a little more time to the # crunching, but I think I speak (write) for many when I say we have really enjoyed reading your posts, especially this week. Who to pull for? What effect will the Miami of Ohio loss have on LSU's BCS chances? Do we still need Boise State to win? The answers to these questions, at least knowledgeable answers, have been very helpful. Can I buy stock in next year's BCS computer poll, islstl.com? BTW, what in the hell does that stand for?
I trust that, and I don't know that I-AA playoff wins or losses count, but at least 2 of those 3 losses by Western Illinois was against I-AA competition. They didn't lose all three games to I-A competition, that's my only point. It may not change anything and the playoff game may not count, but I-AA losses do count.
Well, how much HIGHER would you have Oklahoma ranked over the team that just punked them 35 -7 on a neutral field???
Western Illinois win that counts: Eastern Michigan (I-A) All of Western Illinois losses: LSU (I-A) Southern Illinois (I-AA) Northern Iowa (I-AA) Today they lost to Colgate (I-AA playoffs), and if the playoffs count, that would be one more loss in LSU's Opponents SOS. The question is only if that loss counts. Source: http://www.wiuathletics.com/football/schedule.php
Thanks my man. I just used my initials and my company's initials. I just didn't realize everyone was gonna have some kind of spiffy screen name, otherwise I would have come up with sumpin a bit better....oh well.....
