I don't know; Magee has proven that he can carry the team when called upon. But, we did have Hill, so we'll never know.
Yeah I think the other tailbacks, while they probably wouldn't have been nearly as BEASTly as Hill was, would have gotten the job done.
I don't follow recruiting as obsessively as some of you but would have been devastated if Fournette had gone elsewhere (esp Bama). Mostly just because I've heard so many great things about him for so long. As for the other guys we didn't get, I won't lose sleep over it. Life is too short for that sort of thing. It almost seems fitting that so many fans are upset on the morning after getting the best recruit to come out of Louisiana in a long time (ever?). Vent on message boards if it makes you feel a little better. If you can't enjoy these Golden Years of LSU Football, then the future years of being a fan probably won't go very well for you. Some criticism is normal but I've already started to distance myself from friends that can only discuss LSU sports in a negative fashion (either in real life or on social media).
