Oregon Ducks rundown: ESPN.com story reveals widespread marijuana use by UO football players, shocking? (poll) http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2012/04/oregon_ducks_rundown_espn_stor.html from the article: "The article claims that interviews with 19 current or former Oregon players revealed estimates that between 40 percent and 60 percent of their teammates smoked marijuana....Of course, nothing says “scientifically accurate” more than “estimates” from 19 football players." "To me, students drinking alcohol is considerably more damaging. Drinking and driving. Drinking and raping? Drinking and fighting. Drinking and puking all over the place. Where's the story on alcohol testing of athletes?"
I followed the link about the farmer feeding pot to his ducks as a dewormer. Can't you just see ranchers using it to deworm cattle? Just imagine trying to herd 1000 stoned cows! lol
I, for one, am impressed that UO players can ingest that much ganja and still get along so quickly on the turf.
Back in high school, at most of the meets, about 50% of our track team was high. Funny thing is it was the sprinters and relay guys and they were really good. They won more points that year than us non-high athletes. No telling how good they would have been if they had waited till after the meet to smoke.
Back in high school the band nerds were all stoners. They played in garage bands at night and had the best drugs on campus. And they sounded great.
I'm gonna have to drive north to hook meet Lasalle and get a crash course in weed. That dude's a scholar.
Talk about workplace safety in Oregon... Garland Gillen @garlandgillen Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Wow! 4! RT @McMurphyCBS: Oregon's drug policy 2 years ago: players dismissed on 3rd positive. Current policy: 4 positives before dismissal Garland Gillen @garlandgillen Reply Retweet Favorite · Open RT @slmandel: I'll say this: If that Oregon pot use number is remotely accurate, it makes their hurry-up offense that much more amazing.
http://www2.registerguard.com/cms/i...sted-to-full-extent-possible-under-state-law/ Oregon allows for testing to reveal the use of marijuana along with amphetamines, cocaine and anabolic steroids. A first positive test results in "counseling and education" for the athlete in question, including a meeting with a psychologist to determine the extent of the problem. Upon a second positive test, a "behavioral modification contract" is drafted, defining behavior expectations and consequences for non-compliance. A third positive test results in an athlete being declared ineligible for half a season of competition, including the postseason and carrying over into the following season if necessary. The consequences of a fourth positive test are dismissal from the team and loss of scholarship. ............................. Pass the ducky from the left hand side
Man GDF, that's a lot of intervention....That's why I'm just a drunk...all them alcoholics have to go to those meetings all the time.
