Not sure how many times someone has to say "I can't breathe" until it actually means something. Five other officers had him down on the ground at the time he uttered those words repeatedly. CPR needed to be administered immediately. The cops just stood over his lifeless body and did nothing. Very casual atmosphere. EMS gets there way too late to save him. These cops are well trained to deal with situations like this. They obviously did not regard the life of Eric Garner as important. Eric Garner had just broken up a fight before being murdered by the police officer. When will it end?
Did it occur to you how many times those officers have likely heard that as a ploy by a perp to get another chance at escaping from the hold? Yeah he was a real altar boy. What, 30 priors? It's unfortunate he died but it's also clear that officer wasn't trying to end his life. I think it should be tried as negligent homicide. If it's not I'm not bothered by it cause the guy should have submitted to the arrest and not resist.
What will happen is this will just fuel the backlash towards cops because people are mostly stupid. Then the PO PO will want to know why is this happening. Bunch of dicks.

Man when are people going to learn that when 5-0 tells you to do something, if you value your life, do it. I agree it's a life lost to bullshit, and it should have never happened but man, you gotta be smarter than that.
You like how one of the cops (the lady officer) took his pulse (which must have been either very faint or absent at that point) and then proceeded to ask Eric Garner questions?
This is exactly what I've been thinking. Most people that want to be cops are usually too stupid to do anything else in life. The intelligence level of cops in America is fairly low. Lower than the average for certain. That's problem #1. You can't fix stupid very easily in this case.
