I agree that this assessment will likely be more clear or refuted when this kind of thing is re-judged in 25 years or more, but it is safe to say the 8 years of Bush 43 were bad years for America.

If he is the worst it will be a short lived title. Obama will emerge as a real contender in the next 18 months.

The media has butchered Bush for over 5 years. "Approval ratings" are largely the opinions of the ignorant spoonfed masses. In just the 6 years or so that I've been here at TF, even your taste for Kool Aid has increased remarkably.

It's way too early to judge Bush's presidency.

Obviously this is a subjective matter much like everything else here.

IMO Bush IS the WORST President ever.

I've heard Grant's name thrown around in the "worst president" discussion.

    Heres a thought...
I do think that Bush 43 can be described as one of the worst presidents ever.
I think part of the blame goes to himself, he has NEVER taken up for any of his policies or beliefs or given proof or reasoning for his actions.
He does seem arrogant because to those factors.
He also is probably the most liberal republican ever when it comes to spending dollars and has NEVER vetoed legislation because of spending.
For all his non-actions I think Bush pretty much killed the Republican party for a few years if not longer.

I do believe he alone is the reason republicans lost yesterday even though the democrat congress ratings are lowest in history and they have been in
    charge for 2 years.
If he would've done like Reagan and took his case to the people and gave reasons for his actions things could've been different.
As for the short term it looks like he had a failed presidency and was a disaster but the truth won't be known for about 20 years.
We now have change, that could be good, bad or worse.
I'm betting fifty dollars that it will be worse.

Not true at all. It's okay to be critical...but be fair and honest.

I could go on...This is all from one page on Google. Your talking points about Bush sometimes sound a lot like a democrat's.

O, but according to the idiot dems, Bush is to blame for everything. He inherited a recession, but it's his fault that our economy is in the tank.

But just wait, when Hussein, Pelosi, and Reid start doing all the spending they have planned, these times will look prosporous compared to that.

But you can't use common sense when talking to a dem.
