That's going a little far. I couldn't stand Clinton, but that was my opinion of the man, never the office. Just trying to be a little non-partisan here.
do you distinguish between respecting the office and respecting the man or the job that has been done? does this just mean you wont call him a pr!ck?
Anyone who has called Bush dumb, a moron, stupid or something similar disrespected the office by doing so.
Anyone who has managed to make it into office has to have some measure of intelligence. He has either got to know what is going on in a wide spectrum of topics or he has to bamboozle more than half of 305 million people. Either way, you have to have some measure of intelligence to pull it off. Not to mention dealing with all of the secrets and issues that would incite panic and chaos if we knew about. There is a reason these dudes age 20 years in a fraction of that time.
Now you go way too far, of course. That is perfectly ridiculous. The President is a politician and an elected public servant. He is not a monarch or a God and somehow above personal criticism and you know it. Disrespecting the office would be to question the legitimacy of the Presidency. I can call a president dumb, stupid or a rickin' racking' hornswogglin' varmit! But I've never questioned his authority to be one or questioned the authority of the office to perform the duties of Executive.
That's your opinion. In my opinion you have been highly disrespectful of both the man and the office.
You sure are being nice. I've used much worse words.. And will continue. Bush will go down as the worst President in the history of the US. And whom I never voted for.
Bush speaks well of you too. You never voted for Obama either. Are you taking some kind of credit here?
