Ima throw a little more change in here.... the way I see it... Obama based his campaign on lowering taxes, change and hope.... well folks how are you going to lower taxes when the country is headed into a recession.... so Obama plans to CHANGE his priorities and HOPE nobody notices... I cant think of a better time to put a Democrat in office... make them try and fix the problem they started... over these next four years alot is going to be shown about the Democratic party... it is full of broken promises and pointing fingers... so as much as I would have rather seen a Patriot instead of a Liberal as the Head of our Great Country... I am satisfied knowing that he cant really do anything... and give it two years and everyone is going to be calling him Uncle Tom.... and just like the rest of them... all I can hope for is the future... Jindal / Mike the Tiger 2012... or Jindal / McCain 2012.. or whoever he picks as a VP....

The US government is in shambles by the doings of democrats AND republicans. All of you that buy the small government line are being sold down the river by the majority of republican representatives.

    Another Swing and a Miss!

    Strike 2!!!!:dis:

Explain to me how democrats started this problem?
Whats the definition of a patriot? Are you suggesting that a person that has liberal views cant be a patriot, if so thats just stupid.
Uncle Tom? what does that have to do with anything
I guess the last 7 and half years have been so great by your judgement.
Get a clue and get off the partisan rhetoric. Admit to reality of whats going on.

Have you forgotten the Carter admin... they are the reason bad loans were written... McCain was a POW whereas Obama didnt talked about the 57 United States... there are 57 Islamic states.... he does not honor the Pledge of Allegiance.... and wants to remove God from every part of the Govt... Over the last 8 years the country has gone t hrough alot and whether it was a Dem or Rep everyone would still hate him.... he did what had to be done.... but remind me where the Stock Market was when the Dems took over... thats right its all time high... and where did it go once the dems took office..... 8000... believe what you want but dont be stupid... know the facts and dont listen to political propaganda.... Obama is a good speaker... look and see how well he keeps his word.. he already said that lowering taxes will have to wait until the economy gets back up... so you have apparently swung... missed... and struck out....

You still havent proved anything, from your post all you believe is smears and the conversation is now over, well the intelligent part of it anyhow.
The Carter administration is the reason why we have bad home loans? Really? So because he said 57 states, that means he is a muslim:rofl:
The stock market was at an all time high when the republicans ran congress:rofl:.

you still havent provided an proof of any of this.

I got one you can try to prove. Explain to me how Obama wants to take God out of every part of the government, when the constitution seperated government and religion. When this country was established, they where escaping religious persecution from England.

And you have the nerve to tell me not to listen to political propaganda.
You are the type of person that believes "Under God" was in the original pledge of allegiance.

Here is another fact for you, did you know that 2 Evangelical preachers prayed with Obama before his victory speech. What were they praying about, that people dont find out hes a muslim? lol.

A discredited myth. Funny how it took 37 years for the consequences to appear, conveniently after the 2004 Bush administration removed the CRA regulations.

So what? Almost all of us were not POW's.

 he once mention that he had visited 57 states, one more to go and then Alaska and Hawaii, too. He obviously misspoke 57 instead of 47. Incidentally there are no more than 52 countries that are majority muslim.

Another discredited myth. You can't offer a bit of evidence. You'll believe anything. :insane:

The Dem hasn't taken office yet, chief. Look at the Clinton administration--the best economy since WWII, bull market, budget surpluses, wars we won. Then the Bush administration tanked us in every one of those essential areas. The republicans lost because they were a disaster.

You clearly cannot tell the difference. :dis:

    We will.

You have obviously never heard or the Carter-era Community Reinvestment Act... it forced banks to lend to uncreditworthy borrowers.... mostly minorities with the promise that if they went bad the government would buy them back... it was boosted by Clinton... also
Congress gave Fannie and Freddie the go-ahead to finance it all by buying loans from banks, then repackaging and securitizing them for resale on the open market.
    That's how the contagion began.
With those changes, the subprime market took off. From a mere $35 billion in loans in 1994, it soared to $1 trillion by 2008.
    and
as said by Barney Frank.... a Democrat ....two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis then ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing..... thus the sub prime mortagage implosion... which broke the back on the stock market.... this is why I said that the Dems have to fix what they started.... dont believe me... check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_Reinvestment_Act

Indeed, but those loans were required to follow sound lending practices. But in 2004, the Bush administration lifted those regulations and THAT's when the mortgage/credit crisis began. Banks started lending big money to people who were not low-income minorities but who still had insufficient means to pay off the loans.

    Yes, A Republican Congress.

You can't pin the financial crisis on Jimmy Carter. A Republican Congress and President were in charge of this disaster.
