Historically, it's still pretty impressive. You could pick a number of seasons when, say, Alabama beat Florida, Georgia, LSU and Auburn...which has alot to do with Bama winning 12 national titles, too.

Regardless, it's more impressive than beating Wisconsin on the road and splitting b/w Ohio St and Michigan...or at least i think it is.

No, no, no, we can't have this. A thread about how Miles & the Tigers have done a great job this year, considering the unprecendented hurricane season in Louisiana? No, we need more posts about how Miles is a bad public speaker and how Bowe was goldbricking on the play against Auburn where he should've layed out for an uncatchable ball, even though doing so could have killed him.

Oh, and more posts predicting LSU will lose 4 games in 2005, and then when we're 9-1 and ranked #3 in the nation in late November of 2005, posting that Miles is still unforgiven for that 1 loss.

(Sarcasm aside, this is a great thread)

I didn't post that he was a bad speaker.

All I said was that it was annoying sometimes to hear him say "uhhh and umm" all the time...

Maybe you should actually READ the posts before you start putting words in peoples mouths... :thumb:

    Excellent post. :thumb:

My husband will be flying down to Nola tomorrow to spend a couple of days and to take care of business with the house there, and then on to Mobile to spend a couple of days with his mom. Because of every thing going on right now, I am staying here in Oklahoma. Part of me wishes I could fly down with him, that there is a need to see the aftermath for myself and to see our house (in Lakeview) in person. It's like I need to get a better understanding and maybe some kind of closure on my emotions over losing the house. But then, part of me is relieved that I will only see the pics he takes of the house, and that I won't go through what would be really tough, seeing the City I love so much in the shape it is in now.:bncry:

    Ok, back to the thread.

Trust me, yours wasn't one of the worst offenders, just the most recent in a long series of negative threads I've come across over the last few months. And I just wonder, if there's this much negativity when we're #3 in the nation, what will it be like the next time we're, say, #15 in the country (which still isn't bad)?

So it's refreshing to read a thread like the one we've got here. GEAUX Tigers!

I think it's a little negative to say it's a struggle to listen to someone talk. And that it annoys you. Those aren't positive things to say, that's for sure. But no big deal, I don't want to argue and be negative myself.

By the way, your signature is great.

Steve, you and Becki should stop by sometime soon. We'll be happy to get you a copy of the championship DVD.

I think at least for a while the LSU coaching staff will have to make somewhat of a transition to incorporate some more "national" type recruiting. Which it looks like they have been doing in some of the commitments. Losing the state's largest city and having it's public school system shut down and so many residents displaced and not coming back will certainly affect recruiting. Thankfully, Nick Saban left the cupboard very full, now Les Miles will have to see that the quality stock is maintained.

Great post and notwithstanding the subject matter....refreshing to read. It really is admirable that LSU (coaches and players) have responded the way that they have. Thanks for taking the time to post it.:thumb:
