It would be good if LSU can have a balanced attack to keep BAMA off balance.

Perhaps Islstl would know how in the world Alabama's sched could be ranked harder than LSU's right now. Saw a website that had their sched ranked 3 spots ahead of LSU????

SOS for most publications is computed as follows:

    ((2 X Opp W/L) + Opp's Opp W/L) / 3

So in other words our opponent's opponents won loss record is taken into account and is weighted as 1 part vs weighting our opponent's won loss record as the much more significant 2 parts.

I rather LSU's defense simply because they will just not allow that big play down the field....in saban's defense's he leaves himslef vulnerable to the deep ball if the QB has some time......live by the blitz....die by the blitz.......if you remember right even back when Saban was here his defenses suprisingly gave up quiet a few deep balls...it's his style of defense.....the will make several tacles for losses...but will also give up several deep balls if the O-line holds up.

Our o-line can't handle anymore injuries. We have two sec games before bama. Bama has one hell of a hard hitting defense. We have got to get healthy AND have healthy replacements should someone go down.
That's not just true on the offensive line, this team has a few bumps and bruises. I hope we get comfortable leads in our next two games so some players can sit.

We haven't been rotating out the offensive line players like the defensive line players. I think this is for max protection for lee. We have to watch the next two games. Tenn will play tough as always and we know how dirty auburn is with chop blocks and leg whips. There isn't a dirtier team in the country than au.

    100% agree.

I wish we played AU aftere Bama. AU is so dirty, they're likely to go out and intentionally hurt LSU just so Bama can win.

I have zero respect for that program.

Chris Low was talking about the two O-lines on his video blog. He was talking about how both teams have fantastic O-L ... but he did mention that LSU is a tad banged up, with Dro and Hebert both injured.

I am also of a belief that CLM has not allowed all of his cards to show. We've watched the team pull back some in several games, not running up a score, going to the clock-eating ground game; CLM watches the SEC tapes as 'Bama does. I hope there are a few strategies and 'special option plays' (not 'tricks') that no opponent has been able to study.

Nobody will beat 'Bama down by pure muscle-to-muscle conflict. Since this game IS an early BCSNCG matchup, the victor will have to be the complete team; LSU and 'Bama are complete teams. (Look what happened to FL when it lost it's QB! One-dimensional teams don't win games in the SEC).

I see LSU-'Bama relatively even overall. That usually means that turnovers will be the order of the day; nothing destroys momentum and will-to-win like a couple of TO's strung back-to-back.

We are very good at forcing same.....

On ESPN this morning they were talking about how Alabama has not blitzed at all this year. Im sure that will have to change on November 5th, because they will get carved up if that happens. Of course it might help if they do blitz and give Lee 1on1 opportunities.

Bama's linebackers have been great aginst the run. Enter stamply and copeland stage right. This will be a part of our gameplan for sure. If our fullbacks can knock bama's linbackers off the ball then our running game will work. If we are running well bama will have to cheat the safeties. When that happens our receivers will be one on one allowing lee to get completions. Fullback and tight end play will be important in an lsu win.
