They just don't want to admit it because this message board isn't on the dark web, don't worry @shane0911 @lsutiga and @uscvball aren't fooling me.
I just want to see what's out there. Not gonna buy anything, nothing there I need or probably have the cheddar for anyway, but still intriguing.
I had heard the term "Dark Web" before but I didn't really know what it meant. Its basically sites that aren't indexed by search engines or are only generated by a specific search term. A search for the term dark web brought up info for "deep web." Deep Web (also called the Deepnet,[1] Invisible Web,[2] or Hidden Web[3]) is World Wide Web content that is not part of the Surface Web, which is indexed by standard search engines. It should not be confused with the dark Internet, the computers that can no longer be reached via the Internet, or with a Darknet distributed filesharing network, which could be classified as a smaller part of the Deep Web. Some prosecutors and government agencies think that the Deep Web is a haven for serious criminality.[4] It is considered to be several orders of magnatude larger than the regular web and much of it cannot be access with a normal browser Accessing the Deep Web While it is not always possible to discover a specific web server's external IP address, theoretically almost any site can be accessed via its IP address, regardless of whether or not it has been indexed. Certain content is intentionally hidden from the regular internet, accessible only with special software, such as Tor. Tor allows users to access websites using the .onion host suffix anonymously, hiding their IP address. Other such software includes I2P and Freenet. In 2008, in order to facilitate user access and search engine indexing of hidden services using the .onion suffix, Aaron Swartz designed Tor2web, a proxy application able to provide access to Tor hidden services by means of common web browsers.[13] Deep Web links appear as a random string of letters followed by the .onion TLD. For example, http://xmh57jrzrnw6inslfollowed by .onion, links to TORCH, the Tor search engine web page. To discover content on the Web, search engines use web crawlers that follow hyperlinks through known protocol virtual port numbers. This technique is ideal for discovering resources on the surface Web but is often ineffective at finding Deep Web resources. For example, these crawlers do not attempt to find dynamic pages that are the result of database queries due to the indeterminate number of queries that are possible.[5] It has been noted that this can be (partially) overcome by providing links to query results, but this could unintentionally inflate the popularity for a member of the deep Web. DeepPeep, Intute, Deep Web Technologies, Scirus, and Ahmia.fi are a few search engines that have accessed the Deep Web. Intute ran out of funding and is now a temporary static archive as of July, 2011.[14] Scirus retired near the end of January, 2013.[15]
Supposedly there are sites where you can see videos of all the ISIS beheadings. I have seen one beheading video and I never want to see another one. As far as buying drugs or anything illegal besides the risk you take even it you don't get ripped off and a package that can be tracked is delivered to your door by the mail or Fedex or UPS, what are you going to do about it if you pay and the seller doesn't deliver? And to buy anything on a site like Silk Road you have to use bitcoins. I would be very afraid to keep any money in bitcoins. Whole bitcoin exchanges have been hacked and wiped out. A Japanese bitcoin exchange was hacked and lost hundreds of millions of dollars and the account holders are shit out of luck.
i have one particularly disturbed friend who send me and several others links in group texts to disturbingly hilarious videos that have web addresses that look like those. never knew where or how he was getting this stuff but apparently it is this dark/deep web stuff. There is no telling what that goofy bastard is looking at that he doesnt send us. Worst he has ever sent us is mexican donkey show type stuff which he has been told to never do again but most of it is just funny stuff. Anyway I dont facespace or anything like that. Only post on 3 websites....this one and a couple hunting/fishing sites and am not overly tech savvy....not much need for it in the river bottoms, swamps, and water I am usually in or on...so this(and apparently those vids) is the first I have heard or seen of dark/deep web.
I was looking at a Cabela's catalog the other day and there was a bunch of high tech deer hunting electronics for sale
