Except that the correct word is "moot" and not "mute". ;)

I'd be socked beyond belief if he's here next season.

Since we're cleaning house, I've heard it said by non LSU fans that our team looks weak and tired in the 4th quarter of games and tends to get dominated late. Obviously I took offense at this. But the more I thought about it, I suppose I did see some of that. The O line letting rushers through like a sieve. The D line putting no pressure on the QB. Players looking winded and moving slow. Lots of players cramping up even when the weather wasn't hot. A lot of this in the 4th quarter.

Think Moffitt may be on a train out of Baton Rouge or is it all hogwash?

Don't see this happening so I guess I'll have to go with "hogwash".

That much talent…give me a break. The only thing Croton excels at is making players with real talent look horrible like he has done at LSU and apparently everywhere else he coached at before arriving at LSU. I know the LSU blogosphere painted a rosy picture of Croton’s imaginary talents when he first arrived, because they believed that Miles walked on water and was God, but if anyone does a modicum of research, which Miles miserably failed to do before hiring Croton, they would soon find a long list of teams Croton’s prowess as an OC left in shambles and totally dysfunctional. LSU by a long shot is certainly not the first and my guess won't be the last.

He is referring to the players. But I guess you will take any chance to disagree with a poster. I find this attempt rather comical since TC generally agrees with you about Miles.:insane:

Only problem with getting rid of Crowton is if you are only going to give Miles one more year. What I mean by that is, you sign a new OC then say things don't go so smoothly next year and then want to get rid of Miles, well any incoming HC will have a high likelyhood of wanting to replace the OC once again. It doesn't have to happen of course... Jimbo stayed but you don't want to replace a OC two seasons in a row if you can help it.

    As far as LSU.
    - an offense that is a complete mess
    - a defense that can't get the opposing team off the field, even the BFE schools were staying on the field...

You are not going to out talent Florida, Georgia, Alabama and probably 1 or 2 other SEC schools.... LSU is simply being out-coached in almost every game.

In my opinion, you get rid of Crowton, I actually wish they would have announced it today but if they are still working things out then that is fine.

Crowton's destruction of the offense is complete, the Mormon Prophecy has been fulfilled.... time to move on.

Sure the same thing happens every time teams change OC's. Just ask USCw how much worse they were when they changed OC's, or even us how bad it sucked the yr after Fisher. This logic is flawed my friend. Just another attempt by you to reason why Miles should be gone. The best coaches only succeed because of good asst's.

Oh I never said the offense has to suffer but it can, in this case there is nothing to suffer... when you are last or near last the damage has already been done. Crowton's destruction of this team is complete, the Mormon Prophecy has been fulfilled.

If they wanted to get rid of Miles next year then you could be looking at two consecutive years of new OCs.... that is not a good trend.

It's not a hard decision at all unless you have a thought of getting rid of Miles next year if it goes down hill. Just my take.
