part of 99 was just how terrible our defense was. this year its our offense and the D gives up a bunch of yards but few points.
I agree. I know "stars" don't always pan out the way the staff might expect them to but good grief. I think it starts with the O line and that has to be coach studs slice of the pie. See Ya, what is it, 2 years now? Hit the bricks. The play calling flat out sucks. We know CLM isn't going to get the lions share of this and I'm not sure if he even should so GC.... See Ya. The .... oh what what the hell, fire everybody. Geaux get Mad Scientist Leach over there in Lubbock and lets kick this thing into high gear. But really, stud and crow need to be shown the door. IMHO.
for me, gc's inability to make in-game adjustments and the erratic playcalling have limited this team. we haven't played to our strengths, used our playmakers effectively, or established any continuity. more often than not if tt caught a pass, or kw ran for 6-8 yds then they would "disappear" for the rest of the game. rr hardly saw the field, everyone knows that rs will run out of the "wild tiger' and our tight ends will usually not factor into most drives. i think he's gone
This The "school" may not have a lot of money to throw around on buy outs but don't under estimate the power of TAF and the big time boosters that pump a lot of money into that school.
It actually started before that. There has been a rift between Miles and Crowton since early in the season, and I was told shortly before the Auburn game that it would be surprising if he (Crowton) were still here next season. I believe my source.. Time will tell.
I agree that the offense did not perform up to expectations. Maybe, just maybe, the talent is not what we'd like to think it is. The O Line was a huge problem from game 1. Is there a coach in the country that could have gotten them to do whatever it was they weren't doing? Are our coaches so incapable that they just showed up at practice week in and week out and repeated the same things that weren't producing desired results? I doubt that. I agree that a change is needed whether it be in personnel or in philosophy. IMO the coaches do not know what they want us to be? The entire year seemed to be trying things out to see what works best, yet nothing was ever given sufficient chance to see what works best. We know JJ is not an option QB but it took 8 games to virtually remove that from the play selections. We found out Saturday that we have a Harvin or Demps right there on the bench but we kept confining him to kick returns. Keiland Williams would be all SEC if he ever got up to 20 carries a game. If Crowton goes I will not complain. The point of my post is that a change has to be made, not that it shouldn't happen. But I also think that our perception of the level of offensive talent may be a little elevated, particularly on the line.
