not really, because my issue is not actually with Prime himself.
he's playing the game, and I can't blame him. It's a smart move on his part. him and Shaq could teach a class on self marketing because they are both absolute masters of it.

it's the College Football media that is hyping him up and force feeding me Colorado games every week that I take issue with.
I would not have ever put on a Colorado/CSU game had it not been the only televised game in its time slot. Well at least not until the game itself got interesting at the tail end of the 4th.
But I would have watched that even if it was 2 schools nobody ever heard of, not because it was Prime and Colorado.

I'm not a fan of the way he carries himself, but I'm not a "hater" either.
but at the same time, nothing he has done is even close to being unprecedented. but ESPN and FOX (the 2 networks carrying PAC games) are seriously acting like he's already passed up Bear Bryant on the coaching totem pole. They seriously talk about Colorado as being THE story of the season.
They made a huge deal of all the "star power" and "celebrities" on the sidelines for the CSU game. I'd never even heard of most of those celebs. This was nowhere remotely close to the "star power" that was typically on the USC or Miami sidelines back in the day. Those sidelines had people that even my Grandfather recognized their names.

and hey, Deion may very well get them to that level. But let him get there first.
right now they are what LSU was under DiNardo.
Coming off a complete disaster of a previous coach. Good enough to spring an upset or two. Good enough to scare teams that they shouldn't.
Not a threat to win anything of note.

now ask yourself this....if the DiNardo era LSU was happening right now, would they get even a fraction of the coverage of Deion?
    of course they wouldn't.
Which brings up the entire point of most people's complaints. The hype they're getting isn't because of anything they've actually accomplished, but because of Deion's persona.

accomplish something, and you can get all the hype you want. you'll have earned and deserve it.

Hmmm. He did earn it. By being who he is.

    His accomplishments are quite long.

You seem not to be grasping why he is popular.

It’s quite understandable. It seems you haven’t taken your own advice of wait and see.

I don’t recall him saying he was the best coach ever. If you watch any of the videos, he is very humble.

Maybe you should be more upset with the media then and not him personally.

Like I said, this is just like Trump but with sports.

I mean you guys realize Colorado won ONE game last year. ONE.
