He should have ran when he was Senator. I have always liked him, but his time may have passed him by.
Not in the eye's of God. To some of us, that still matters. "Forsaking all others", and "Till death do us part" has kinda been thrown under the bus.
right, but god related stuff is decided by churches. these blessed sacraments are given the seal of approval by churches. if your church doesnt approve, that is cool they do not have to recognize the homo couples. this is the business of the church, what the government says is beside the point. the government could let me marry a ham sandwich, and your church will not recognize it and everything is ok. its just legal forms and stuff, it is meaningless. what is important is what god says, what your church approves of, not the government red tape.
Says the man who wants to wipe out the Muslims. Christian Rednecks sure have some strange priorities.
If I could somehow, single handedly, wipe the muslims off the face of the earth, you would thank me. You, and your scumbag friends. Say you wouldn't, and I'll call you a liar. One less evil on the earth worry about. One less group of people who would do you harm. Maybe it would divert a war my son would one day have to fight. I'm not the peace loving type of Christian. And..I'm a long ways from "redneck". I prefer to be around hard working, honest, self-respecting, people. It doesn't matter the color of their skin, but how they act. How they live. Judging by your avatar, I wouldn't care to be around you for very long. You, and your idealistic comrades, are a part of the problem..not the solution. There can/will be no peace on earth. There will never be a "utopia". There is good, and there is evil. I believe that our society is (for the most part) good. The muslims (most of them) want to destroy us. There is no reasoning with them. There is no "coexistence". We can either keep fighting until the end of time, or one can destroy the other. I would prefer to on the side that doesn't get destroyed. Of course, ridding ourselves of the muslim threat will not generate world wide peace, it just removes one of the many (and most dangerous) problems. "Loot me some bling cuzz"???? To you USMTiger, I would say, get the hell out of my way.
I sure can and i'm pretty much a "crazy fundie". I can't wait to vote for Guiliani in the Primary and hope, like you, that he isn't derailed because he's had 3 marriages.
Why do you and Red want to bring religion into the discussion? Judge not less ye be judged is also part of that religion. What you and Red have got to come to terms with sooner or later is that the bad Muslims are mixed in with the good ones including women and children. The schools in Pakistan are preaching the bad philosophy to grown men and children in their schools, teaching hate. Salty, myself and others believe that it is the bad Muslims that are the problem not the good ones probably like yourself. It seems we need answers other than criticizing others who have voiced their opinions here. What is the answer or solution to the problem of the terrorists among the civilians? 1) You could fight it like Bill Clinton did which I think might have been the better choice these days because other wise there is too much collateral damage. Collateral damage means killing innocent people in these countries. 2) You could pull a Harry Truman and bomb these countries into the stone age, innocent people will die but they will be too busy rebuilding everything in their countries for years to fight. 3) Invade and Occupation, I don't think this is the right choice because we don't have the tools to do this, not enough soldiers, equipment, time or money. 4) Killing these people with kindness which means not killing at all. More like bribery or supporting which I believe could be linked to 1st choice. So what is the answer? I didn't mean to change the subject but I'm tired of people attacking ones beliefs so lets put it all on the table and talk about the reality of the situation we are in with respect to fighting terrorism. Sorry, I didn't want to change the subject but some are going to far around here these days IMHO.:dis: I think we need to wake up to a dose of reality and get serious about the choices at hand on fighting terrorism and discussing them instead of attacking other peoples beliefs.
