SouthEndZone: What is the rationale for the "quality win" clause? It seems that a basic premise of the clause is that playing a team twice makes the game easier for one or both of those teams. It would be interesting to analyze the win-loss experience over the years when teams play each other twice during the same season. I would guess that more often the teams split the games, rather than one team sweeping both games.

In reality, LSU still has to win out the rest of the season to have a shot at any BCS berth no matter who ends up in the SECCG.

For some reason, I have a strange feeling that Ole Miss will not be an easy win for LSU.

And we really care what you think.
Listen, LSU lost any shot at the NC the day they lost to Florida. All we can do is win out and quit worrying about all this other stuff.

You're right, the NC is beyond our control.
We would need too much help from other sources.
I want Florida in the SECCG and LSU will be ready this time!!!

SabanFan: Chip82 is not wrong in what he posted. No matter how any of us feel toward OM, they are playing good ball and damn near beat us in our house last year. We're talking about SECCG, with 4 regular season games left, and the next team is capable of beating us, if we play as we did against UF. Does anyone remember UAB? You can B$$ch slap me if you want, but the fact is, prior to the UF game, this talk was going on about the gators, and I believe the team reads this stuff and then the media publishing stuff and the players begin to believe the chit. I know they play the game and not us. I'm tired of LSU needing this or that to happen, to accomplish something. WE need to take care of business. 40% of what we worry about never happens, 20 % comes to pass and we can't control the rest anyway. If the tigers will take care of business each week, the rest will fall into place. If the tigers do take care of business and become SEC champs, and don't make it to the NC, where is the failure. The team because they didn't take care of UF. Regardless, it would be a fantastic season anyway. BTW - I don't think its good sportsmanship to punk a guest for posting what should be a real concern to the entire LSU family. So we have to act like abuuie fans? JMO "Slap away"
