#8, #22, and #14 are available. Thanks Shane. When I look at this list I don't see any viable candidate that we have not been discussing. Curiosity forces me to ask, what is the ranking based on?
I just googled "list of current cfb coaches" and that is what came up. That is why I said disregard the ranking, all you need to see if what is out there and it aint much. Hoping to quiet down some of the noise of people bitching about the names. There just aren't a lot of "big names" that are available.
Bruce Felman again. This time Mark Stoops. https://mobile.twitter.com/BruceFeldmanCFB/status/1463544826641584130?t=ZbfZMXXsImkux488gOafDg&s=19 Stoops is 8-3 at KY, with a chance to go 9-3 by beating Louisville on Saturday. Is that when we announce our strong interest? Is he mad at LSU fans because his Ed Orgeron "Flip the Script" book has taken a sharp nosedive the last 2 years. Nothing against Mark Stoops, but Feldman's small KY football history lesson seems a bit of a stretch, imo. Especially since his basis for this tweet, is regarding 2 SEC coaches that have been fired for poor performance.
Do you see the trend? Any time a name pops up you are first in line to shit all over it. Never gonna be happy
I agree for the most part. Historically we are a Top school, no question. But look at us now, we've been off the map for 2 years. Some of the former luster has worn off under O's regime. We need a great hire to put us back in the upper echelon where we belong.
Is this directed to me? If so, that's absolutely false. I like many of the coaches being listed. I ask a lot of questions I think of. There are only 2 that would make ne wince if we hired. Asking questions of concern is not "shitting" on anyone.
I agree. I think one problem here is managing expectations. The whole 'swing for the fences' theme set us up for a perception of failure because everyone has a different idea of what's a home run. We just have to trust that SW will get us the best person he can. I'm confident there will be a crowd of second guessers no matter who it is.
2 years from the greatest season in CFB ever is not "losing luster" Be thankful we are making the change now Yes it was. You posted a link about Stoops and then shit all over it. Give me a name, Who do you want to coach the Tigers going forward?
