Here's the article. The b's in spelling are all v's for some reason. Rabalais says Mel Tucker reminds him of Saban & Arsparger. Except neither Saban or Arnsparger's Defense was ranked #103 in Defense, not even close. That's worse than out current D. Too me, that would seem to be a huge concern. https://www.google.com/amp/s/eminet...nt-past-lsu-new-orleans-louisiana/820900/amp/
I firmly believe that there will be a sense of urgency to name the new HC prior to the start of early recruiting (Dec. 15). This would be the best chance to hold a potentially great recruiting class together. With Tucker and Cristabol both currently positioned to have teams in the playoffs they are probably not Woodward’s target. I keep circling back to Aranda. He knows many of the players and some of the coaches on the current staff. His selection increases the likelihood of retaining Raymond and Joseph, both whom are integral in recruiting (and pretty good coaches). His selection even may sway some defensive players currently committed elsewhere to come to LSU. And if he can name an OC prior to Dec. 15, then we may be able to retain our current offensive commits.
I'll see your fish and raise you a Rhul-er. The Matt kind. LOL. I have not idea who it will be, I just know it won't be a slam dunk that everyone hopes for. It's got to be a builder and sustainer and there aren't many out there.
He did less at Baylor than Aranda has. His success is at Temple. I’d rather Aranda. I don’t want fish, I don’t need a ruler, I think there are better options around-a.
Jimbo would at least be a bridge to the next hire. Just was hoping for the coach of the future and not LSU's next former football coach.
