I agree. Just meant some kind of official LSU style update saying the coaching search is going as planned or, or we've targeted 3 or 4 coaches we have interest in.

I don't expect that to happen though. LSU locked up tight as a drum

I totally misunderstood your post. Id be happy if we got a "we've got a guy we feel strongly about" but nothing more. I could be talking completely out of my ass but it seems that when names get brought up is when it all goes wrong. Id rather be surprised as long as it isn't a "where in the hell did they find this guy" moment

We have time and WW probably has his man in mind. According to others that talk about WW process is he will learn everything about his guy before he even makes the offer. I read that he will find out what the guy likes and dislikes about his current situation and makes those adjustments in his offer. He is probably in that stage right now, using channels to vet his guy. Everything else is rumors and people saying what they think they know. I'm sure WW is the only one that knows until he is ready to announce, much like he has done in the past. I much rather this approach as to what we have been used to with the last hire search.

Much better. I feel optimistic about Woodward making the right move. A strong football program is huge for the state of LA IMO, glad we have this guy making the moves.

Don't be surprised it's Napier, I am hearing things.

He is a very detailed focused guy. Has no skeletons in his closet that anyone knows of, knows Louisiana and can recruit and he wins a lot. Would hate to lose this guy to another SEC team to come back and haunt us. He's right up there with Fickell for me. Franklin and Tucker are fall back guys.

I’m not hating it. Only knock is no big school HC experience but sounds like an up and comer.

Cristobal or Fickell over Kiffin, Fisher, Franklin, Tucker, Aranda, Brady, or Napier.

Have no idea what is realistic when it comes to the options. And there may not be anyone out there better. I just can't stand the thought of having Kiffin here due to his cocky arrogant quirkiness. Fisher is getting long in the tooth, Franklin doesn't know who or where he is competing this weekend, and none of the others have the experience you would like to see.
