Coaching is about to change and many teams are already seeing it. Keeping players is becoming harder than getting them. The rankings bs really means nothing if all the coaches are not compared somewhat equally. Napier at a bigger school w better talent I bet will have bigger numbers. Everytime we go through this crap everyone wants the big name thinking that guy will win. Going back to 2016 I would take EO 100/100 times. You dont hear crap from all the Herman screamers who was by far the hottest name. Same thing for Fisher except he has fared slightly better, is 8-3 or 7-4 w a fluke win over Alabama on the same field they lost to MSU what you want? How many times do we have to hear about a coach that hates recruiting? Where do you think those coaches REALLY want to work? I like Tucker but I think he is NFL bound one day just like Arranda. I think Napier might be an up and coming Dabo Swinney type. YMMV
Pie in the sky stuff. This is all assuming LSU gives him $10M/yr for 20yrs guaranteed. #kamayamayajimbo #lassiesholdmybeer
Nick Saban told one of his LSU players that he was a man, so he had to go take the Miami Dolphins job to test himself. Then, after many years at Alabama, he finally admitted that he truly regretted leaving LSU. So, is he man enough to come back to be the coach at LSU?
He doesn't want to come and we don't want him back. He will be 70 years old next week (Halloween). He is under contact through the 2028 season. It would be nice to get the upper hand on him the last few years of his career. Unfortunately, I don't think he will retire until he is dead.
