Kelly’s a good coach. Wouldn’t have been my choice. I’d rather Napier young and hungry. But after thinking on the alternatives I am getting excited. I do worry about his disciplinarian style with our woke . campus. He has the number 4 recruiting class? Are any dumb enuff to throw away a ND degree to come here. Let’s hope so. This could solve our oline issues immediately.

Don't know, late 50's I think. Is Brian Kelly now at Nick Saban level in Football?

Apologies, maybe I have you mixed up. I thought you and Shane had some back and forth discussion over the last few weeks and you picked apart several coaches.

Look, like it or hate it, it could have been worse. Like BoB.

Im going to support Kelly. Like you said, he’s 60, it won’t be forever and to be honest there were not that many young hot names out there that didn’t come with huge risks of their own.

We needed a solid experienced guy to help get this program back on track and he brings that. He also secured Walker Howard and that’s fantastic.

Notre Dame better realize the market has changed drastically. They are paying Kelly what we were paying Aranda. Gonna have to come with more money...God knows they have it!

I said a couple days ago the hire might have us saying, "didn't see that coming." I'm OK with the hire. He's a proven coach and is as "big of a fish" that's out there whether anyone likes him or not and I thought that's what everyone here was expecting? He's got to prove it in the SEC now and I think with the resources at LSU he'll do just fine in that department. I would love to see him bring Freeman and find a higher end Defensive coaching spot for Durante Jones, I think he earned it this year for sure. Bringing Freeman with him will make me feel better. I can see Fickel or possibly Aranda getting a long look from ND, I don't think they move Freman up to HC. Just my opinion. Overall, I think Kelly is a very solid hire.
