I will go into this cautiously optimistic, but he's gonna have to prove himself. I would have preferred someone younger too, but I'm a broke motherfucker so I got no say in it.. If this all goes through, welcome aboard Coach Kelly.
List the QB’s, RB’s and WR’s he’s had that he managed to win all those games with? I’ll wait. Now, think about the QB’s, RB’s and WR’s he’s going to have access to at LSU. Then, look at the other side of the ball and compare the NFLSU defensive talent at LSU to what this guys been working with at ND. The guy can flat out coach. I’m sorry you don’t like it.
Marcus Freeman is the reason for his #4 class this year. Any chance he comes along...doubt it but stranger things have happened.
Why? They’ve been in the playoffs 2 or 3 of the last 4 years. Their student athlete requirements are more stringent than almost any other school. If he can bring a much needed discipline to our young men then it’s a win because we will have the athletes. Look at what Notre Dame was for so many years before he was HC. They sucked. Practically back to when D1 football was predominantly white. It can work.
Werent you one of the ones making the same argument againt Nape for the same scenario? I dunno, too many L-somethin-L posters. Either way, I hope Woodward has uncontrollable diarrhea now untill the official announcement.
calm down girls…. brian kelly has demonstrated he is willing to make the necessary staff changes to stay current. Woodward was never going to hand the keys to coaches he considered to be not ready it seems: ananda, Napier; or to someone not considered stable like lane…. let’s see what his staff looks like cause ‘crootin’ will be the key….
