Part of that GM screw up was due to poor evaluation of players value - not a quality I want in my head coach. Also, he wasn't exactly people friendly which impacts getting alone with those who would be funding his hire. And its not like Bama's offense has been dominating anyone this year. And you know they have the talent.
You mean to tell me he should be pulling in a top ten class at USL? lol, the fact that he has them at 76 says its a helluva job to me.
Maybe pushed is the wrong word. More like he wanted to be a HC and Waco was calling. I think he liked BR just not the current boss, so instead of waiting to take over as HC he took Waco. Only speculation, like you I’ve been wrong about LSU since Miles departure.
The fact that he has them @ #76 says a lot about the vast talent in La. and east Tx where all of their current commits are from. These are the guys not being recruited by the likes of LSU, A&M, etc.
LSUODYSSEY.COM: We can confirm Oklahoma Head Coach Lincoln Riley is expected to accept LSU's offer to become their next Head Coach at the conclusion of OU's season. The contract should make Lincoln the highest paid coach in college football, between $12-13 million annually. We aren't sure about the length but it's believed both parties negotiated a stable, long term commitment in excess of 3 seasons. No word on a time table for future official announcement. That is all we know at this time. Thank you for subscribing & reading LSUODYSSEY.COM throughout our head coaching search coverage.
