All those women they were trying to court in to the booth will come at the cost of some indie and centrist Republican men who don't want to see any man railroaded. Even the more conservative female vote isn't likely to come through when the game they played is transparent.

I'm saying that a big part of this saga was to push the idea that Trump and the Republicans don't care about women. The one item that probably looked safe to blow up was sexual assault. What woman wouldn't be against that, right? But in the effort to court those women in to voting Democrat, they've likely alienated centrist male Republicans who were potentially turning away from Trump and underestimated far right conservative women who can see through the charade? Clear?
