Blake, Caldwell & Simmons Not exactly accurate. Pat "Hart Lee Dykes" Jones had a couple of 10-2 seasons at OSU in the late 80's, within the 15 year time frame of Simmons' 8-4 record in the 90's. Dooley at WF had better seasons than Caldwell. And Caldwell left WF losing to the likes of Vanderbilt and at the same level as Duke when he was canned. Technically accurate about OU, Schnellenberger picked up a paycheck for a year in Norman, but I wouldn't call him a bad coach. Gibbs the other coach between Switzer and Blake, had a winning record at OU, including a couple of 9 win seasons. Had Gibbs been African of American origin, he could have easily played the Nolan Richardson-card. Blake left that program in the toilet, and that only makes the job that Stoops has done more impressive. I don't recall if there was someone I'm missing between Switzer-Gibbs-Schnellenberger & Blake? I maintain the focus of any coach who aspires to be a successful major college HC should be to pursue a job at the lower 1-A level, and for that matter to be an assistant at the lower 1-A level and hope to ascend to the head job once your boss succeeds and moves up the 1-A ladder. And that goes for white, Africans of American origin or Native Americans.
News flash for you: Limbaugh has made a career out of demonizing lawyers like Roy Black and has also taken the position that dope USERS, not just dope pushers should be punished severely with jail time. He has been making these statements all the time he was committing felonies by buying illegal drugs regularly. What a hypocite Rush is, and what hypocrites his followers are now for defending him.
The year Blake was shit-canned, he was shelled by A&M, Texas, Missouri and OSU. That gets you fired in Norman and is considered toilet-like. Yes, Stoops rebuilt quickly, much like Saban at LSU. Should LSU fans reflect differently on the great favor Sweaty Dinardo did for Tiger fans by leaving them in great shape 2 years before the SEC Championship? The year before Caldwell was hired, WF was in a bowl game. Caldwell proceded to go 2-9, which ws about his average record in Winston-Salem. He was 2 points better than Duke in his final year, so he did establish dominance over the Dukies, you can say that for him. Before I explain. Please provide your definition of success in the pros? Make the playoffs? If so, then yes black coaches have been successful...as has Dick Jauron and Jim Haslett and alot of other fired or soon to be fired white NFL coaches.
Not defending Rush just pointing out that a lawyer's job is to get his client off the hook. Were you teased a lot as a child?
And a high priced attorney for a rich black celebrety accused of the same thing as Rush wouldn't use the same tactics to get his client off? Always back to the race thing, huh Bengal B? Just can't shake it can you?
Just what the hell does your response have to do with what I said. There is nobody who has ever posted anything on this forum who has played the race card even 1/10th as much as you do. Anybody acused of a crime will hire the best legal talent they can afford. The lawyer will do his best to get his client off whether his client is Rush Limbaugh or O.J. Simpson as long as his client can pay the bills. A white man with $400 a week job as a laborer and a black man with a $400 a week job as a laborer will both probably end up with a public defender as their attorney and both of them will probably end up doing time. Race has nothing to do with access to quality legal representation and economics has everything to do with it. Do you really think that Kobe Bryant will end up in prison because he is black and Scott Peterson will walk because he is white?
