the whole party is founded on this, call the other guy racist, deflect from bad policy. it reminds me of an SNL sketch from the OJ simpson trial era. somebody said something incrtminatiing and OJ mutters under his breath "nigger" and then scream "WHO SAID NIGGER!", and then everyone forgets to think about how OJ is a murderer. the left always wants to put you on the defensive about race stuff, because being defensive is by nature a debasing position. so they always push the conversation towards forcing you to defend yourself against allegations of racism. in this discussion is particularly amusing because the democrat we are discussing is practicing the most literal possible racism. and when asked, rex's response is NO YOU ARE THE RACIST. the democrats need to grow out of this habit of being the "YOU ARE RACIST" party. its not a long term winning strategy.
