Add worcestershire sauce, Pick-A-Pepper sauce, crushed garlic and Tony Chacherie's to melted butter. Pour mixture over large shrimp and top with sliced onions and broil. When the shrimp are done and the onions are soft dip Reisings poboy bread into the sauce and toast. Slice bread into sandwich size pieces and top with shrimp and onions. Serve open faced or between two pieces of bread as desired
Why is it when somebody else makes you a sandwich it always tastes better then if you had made it yourself:huh:
I stopped at a road house in tennessee last summer to get coffee and a "breakfast sandwich" that was damned good, so I made one for myself last weekend. Wheat toast with scrambled eggs, bacon, and fresh garden tomato slice. SImple but effective. I put some salsa on mine and it was even better.
I posted this a while back. Not exactly a sandwich but I made this and it was good. http://www.tigerforums.com/good-eats/79479-bacon-cheese-roll.html
I was just thinking about an amazing Cuban (sandwich) I had in Key West - I have tried to recreate it, but it's really all about the bread and I just can't find a place that makes that bread.
It's the quantity for me. Most burger joints put a layer of dill pickles on a burger. I pull them all out except for ONE in the middle atop ONE slice of tomato. You should get a couple of tart bites of pickle when eating a burger, not a whole pickle in every bite. Or its overwhelming.
