the real problem is now the first OhSt/ UM game is meaningless. if UM won it would have been UM 1. OhST 2. in the NC game unless it was a blowout

True, but keep in mind that Michigan's number 1 free safety went out with an injury early in the game, opening that part of the field up for Pittman and Wells.

very true - that explains those 50+ yard TD runs as well.

Look right now I'm not going to lie - Ohio St and Michigan are the two best teams in the country. Now, I am 100% against a rematch, but I just have a hard time seeing any team - yes, including an SEC team - winning against either of those teams.

Well that's why you play the game, did you think Ball State would be down 8 late in the 4th driving to tie the game? In the Big house?? Michigan was number 2 and should drop. That's just the way it is. All the sports writers were saying if you're gonna lose, you better lose early...and those same writers voted UM #2 after a loss. UM had their chance and didn't win, they should not play in the fiesta bowl. Since when does playing a top ranked team close merit not dropping in the polls? Does LSU get an exception for playing 4 top ten teams on the road then? It's BS

We will never know who is better than who without a playoff. Oklahoma was clearly "one of the best teams EVER" in 2003, before they got their ass kicked, twice.

The voters have finally done what the entire country asked them o. They didn't panalize a team fo rlosing a close tough fought game on the road vs a highly ranked team.
Of course since it wasn't us who benefited, the voters are getting bashed. Everyone on this board thought that we shouldn't have dropped after the Auburn game, but now they think Michigan should have after this one. Explain why we should have stayed put, but not UM

I truly believe LSU (on a neutral site) would give OSU and Mich. all the hell they could stand for 60 min. and probably beat them both.

Not with the way we played last night. But frankly, LSU would have a tough time, especially with our lack of a decent rushing attack against Michigan's number 1 rushing defense. Ohio St is just a more all around complete team. Sorry, but I just don't see it happening, unfortunately.
