I saw a thread last night. The mood ranged from thinking nothing will come of it to wanting to jump off a cliff. Most were pretty worried. Oh, and cursing the day Luther Davis went to Alabama. Aren't we glad we "lost" that dude?
Yes tiger fans have a proclivity for avoiding reading. Try to keep it as short as say one or two sentences.
So many people get all upset when a player goes to another school, I wish them the best of luck and move on. Most times its their loss. Many times its better when you don't get a player, many times a staff will see a better team without one player. A couple years back they took the top players from years ago and looked how they had fared in college. The % was low on those, I know, the 2,3 and 4 star player didn't do any better. You need a good mixture. Like I said, the lowest rated OL from a couple years back is starting on the OL at RT and he looks like he'll be playing on Sundays.
I agree. I think the NCAA's ego is pretty bruised right now, and bama might just be the "slumpbuster" that they need. It's too good of an opportunity for them to pass-up. All the evidence is there, and it'd be hard for them to find a bigger fish to fry. People telling themselves that nothing will happen is them just not getting their hopes up too high. It's highly unlikely that anything will happen to the program in terms of sanctions, but it's very likely that all those wins will be vacated.
After the Cam Newton investigation, nobody trusts the NCAA to be consistent, fair, or thorough. After two recent NCAA lashings, folks at Bama have reason to fear the NCAAzis, but everything is different after Cam. I think Emmert's reputation is on the line and I suspect he will try to hammer the SEC schools if the evidence is there. But don't hold your breath . . .
