Andy Simms, Peter Schaffer, and John Phillips all sports agents I think and Mike Rowan who is a "Financial Consultant", whatever that means. There are a couple of others whose names I can't remember but I'm sure you know. The Agents/Financial Advisors have said they gave money to Luther Davis but they didn't know what he did with it, a doofus statement if I ever heard one. Here are the two who are most interesting to me. Luther Davis and Rep. Jack Williams of the Alabama Legislature who is the Co-Chair of the Alabama Athletics Agent Commission (It's pretty amusing to me that Alabama actually has a legislative commission dealing with sports agents). The Agents/Financial Advisors have said they gave money to Luther Davis but they didn't know what he did with it, a doofus statement if I ever heard one. Luther Davis, of course is from West Monroe, as is Cam Robinson, as is Bakari Guice a name you may not be familiar with. Bakari is the former DB Coach at West Monroe who is/was under suspension by the LHSAA for providing inappropriate transportation for Cam Robinson to Alabama Football camps. Rep. Williams has said that as he interprets Alabama law, Luther Davis would be considered a Sports Agent and since he is not registered as a Sports Agent as required by Alabama Law and has done some other things in violation of Alabama law he could be prosecuted. Do I think that will ever happen? NOT VERY LIKELY. In the unlikely event it does happen, would Luther Davis cut a deal? Hell Yes!!! To me that is Alabama's biggest worry.
dudley, before you categorize a little comment about Lyles perhaps you should consider LSU payed him for the same thing Oregon did. As to Luther...I'd suggest you sit back and wait for the story to come out.
One of a few main differences....the amount above normal market value. The problem wasn't paying Lyles agency like many teams did when using multiple evaluation services. The story on Luther didn't come out yet?

If we did we would be on probation. LSU paid Lyles for video that was received. Oregon paid him for video that was never received and then paid him an exorbitant amount to influence a player.
