That may be the case but when Americans "on many sides, on many sides" can't come together to denounce these pieces of shit, it's not a very good look, and it doesn't make me feel very good about the future of this country at all. I'm not saying nazis will take over, I'm saying that this country is as divided as it has been in my lifetime and I don't see it getting any better.

 

Well it is true. There is a broad spectrum that crosses all parties of idiots that seem to be the loudest.

One of the reasons I have focused on the Nazi/Klan portion of the past weekend's events is that while there were left wing agitators present, the Nazis were there to cause trouble on a much greater and more organized scale. They got what they wanted in the violence and Trump's reaction (fairly cast or not). They see this as a victory.
Similarly when the antifas ran riot in San Jose, Berkeley, St Louis and other places there were alt right there involved but they were the antifas' parties.
In each individual event the perpetrators should get the severe condemnation. To conflate what the alt-right did in Berkeley with what the antifas did then lessens the impact IMO. Equally to balance what the antifas did in Charlottesville with the Nazis actions there reduces the impact.
To me it's more effective and important to point out which is the major instigator and let the light of condemnation shine on them.

To think our biggest problem in America is a small group of idiots marching and spewing hate and ignore the lefts steady march since the 60's to destroy this country is as I said Rex stupid. To put it in perspective 58 yes 58 cops were murdered since 2016 by racist and violent menbers of leftist violent groups. This weekend event pales in the face of this. You either have no memory or choose to ignore that the left used terror and murder in the 60's with the Weathermen Underground, the SDS and the Black Panthers. The left now has the violent fascist anarchist Antifa using violence on anyone who thinks differently than they do. Antifa went their to get violent and cause trouble. They showed up with baseball bats and pepper spray. Both groups are vile and you are an idiot.
