An old Chinese curse was "May you live in interesting times."

 

Not so fast my friend, I was right about the wording of the quote but it's probably not of Chinese origin.



Despite being widely attributed as a Chinese curse, there is no equivalent expression in Chinese.[2] The nearest related Chinese expression is "寧為太平犬，莫做亂離人" (nìng wéi tàipíng quǎn, mò zuò luàn lí rén), which is usually translated as "Better to be a dog in a peaceful time, than to be a human in a chaotic (warring) period."[3] The expression originates from Volume 3 of the 1627 short story collection by Feng Menglong, Stories to Awaken the World.[4]

Evidence that the phrase was in use as early as 1936 is provided in a memoir written by Hughe Knatchbull-Hugessen, the British Ambassador to China in 1936 and 1937, and published in 1949. He mentions that before he left England for China in 1936, a friend told him of a Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times."[5]

All these attempts to morally equate White Supremacists to groups like Black Lives Matter and even to Antifas is pure racist bullshit. There is NO moral equivalence. "From all sides" was disgusting self-serving bullshit. The TRUTH of the matter is that the White Supremacists want to impose oppression upon minorities, those other groups fight for racial equality and protection. The former are antithetical to America and don't belong here... the latter are not always entitled to their occasional violent tactics but at least their motives are justified.

WTF Rex???? I was just about to make a post asking how anyone can defend the Klan and Nazis in any good conscience.....and I will follow with it after this. So as I read your statement there are sometimes the antifas use of violence is acceptable???? How can you defend antifas and the violence they use in any way as you just did?? Antifas advocate the violent overthrow of our society and carry out their threats. There was armed left wing militias in Charlottesville yesterday according to the AP. So I was right when I said you haven't condemned left wing violence....in your own words you approve. As I said you're nothing but a troll and a hypocrite.

 

If we wanted to do that we would simply add up the body count.
