    Fan=fanatical.

    I'll readily admit I questioned it and still do. But, I didn't find the nearest rooftop to continually cry and shout about the call. That group still can't admit it was a good ball game even though it was a loss.

    I know it'll be a call I'll remember years from now.

    i just saw that CBS/Dennis Dodd has Ole Miss in his latest Top 25, pointing out that "Twenty starters return." that's at least the second time i've seen Ole Miss in a major Top 25

    Hell we could have very well lost to Georgia had we held on last drive against Bama. Losing to Florida, who had to block a punt at the end of the game to beat USL is just flat out embarrassing.

    Bama isn't calling Florida a lucky team. I am.

    Having watched several of their games, there's ample reason to say they were lucky: reasons stated in this thread by people other than me. See LaSalle's post above.

    You're a Bama rep here since you're a Bama fan. If you were saying it impartially maybe we would be inclined to agree, but you're dismissing them as underneath Bama hence TigerTap's comment. I actually think Florida would have had a good chance at beating you guys.

    LaSalle is a complete idiot it comes football (or just posts idiotic statements when he is high, which is a lot). If you want to talk about a team that got lucky last year, why don't you look at Bama? Florida had to play six Top 15 teams: LSU, aTm, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida State, and Louisville. How many did Bama play? aTm, LSU, ND, Georgia...and Georgia only had to play three Top 15 teams: South Carolina (to whom they lost 35-7), Florida, Bama

    I've made no comments or comparisons between the two teams. Dismissed them? Hardly. Called them fortunate and lucky to win some of the games they did. Definitely. And I will continue to because that's what I truly believe.

    Is the concept that there are football fans who follow more than one team, that don't allow their support of one team cause them to "hate on" others that foreign?

    I certainly discuss Alabama here. You won't find me boasting about them—that type of posting is simply not within my personality. I certainly use situations as examples because they are the ones with which I'm most familiar. In fact, the vast majority of the time I'm not the one introducing them into conversations. I did in this thread using what the media said about the defense losing personnel to the NFL a few years ago as point of my expectations for the LSU defense to remain at its high level of play despite their losses.

    As to Florida having a good chance to have beaten Alabama last season? Any given Saturday, ya know? I tend to doubt that though. I consider LSU to have been a better team than Florida last year. And, as I've clearly stated, that game was a contest LSU lost (due to circumstances stated and discussed) more so than Florida won. I believe UGA was a better team than UF.

    Do you believe that the 2012 Florida squad—a team that struggled to beat Mizzou, got lucky with a blocked punt to beat ULL, and was exposed by Louisville—wasn't lucky last season? A great defense? Yes sir. A great offense? It wasn't the worst in the SEC thanks to Kentucky and Auburn. It wasn't the worst in the nation. But, it wasn't far from either category.

    Now, I'll repeat myself.

    "...they were lucky to be where they were at the conclusion of last season and they weren't as good of a football team as a lot suggested."

    Tell me where I'm wrong.

    Reminds me of 2009. Heading into the season, they had their highest ever preseason ranking, as noted every single time the ticker showed the preseason polls. In the end, the expectations just proved to be too damn much for the rebs.

    They won't sneak-up on anybody this year, and their (lack of) depth will prove to be their downfall. Expectations are a rebel's worst enemy.

    They started out in the top 10 that season—#8 AP I believe. Ended up at .500 in SEC play.
