Us silly infidels should just put a giant billboard with a very large picture of Charles "The Hammer" Martell right across the street from this thing. Oh and NEVER take it down.
Are you that fking stupid? How many times must it be pointed out that this is about considering the sensitivities of 9/11 families and not about the GD constitution. I swear...
I thought the law is what is right? I could argue that the law in Arizona is not right and you would say I was wrong because you disagree I dont care about poll numbers because they are used to prop up arguments when people see it fit to do that. I thought the constitution was right, because to me this is a matter of the constitution or its a matter of emotion. I could argue that South Carolina and Mississippi flying the rebel flag is well within scope of the law but in poor taste and I could argue that Virginia and Alabama having a confederate holiday is in poor taste and offensive. Then folks would say Im wrong, its a matter of free speech and heritage.. and I would get blasted. See how things can be flipped around?
its a matter of the constitution to me, I love how you just skip over the fact that I said it shouldnt be built there. You're a phucking idiot. To be as old you are its a shame that you're a phucking hypocritical belligerent piece of crap.
You two really need to chill out a bit, Ok, I think MM actually has a point here because using the constitution they should be allowed to build it however it is still IMO in poor taste and I'm pretty sure I saw a report that many of thte muslims in NY felt the same way and didn't want it there. The law/constitution doesn't have it right in this case, again IMO. Comparing it to the Az immigrration law isn't a good fit for me because the AZ law actually mirrors the federal law that barry won't enforce. It is just wrong and I think the two sides will have to agree to disagree. For those that don't see or understand why it is wrong I am not sure a big enough picture can be painted for you folks to understand it.
The law is what is correct. What's right is about justice. Law and justice don't always collide. You have already admitted their is no wisdom in building this thing. That is what I am talking about. Yes, I am capable of arguing both sides of a debate. But I usually just stick to the right one. Well actually the poll numbers reflect that most people agree there is a constitutional right to build the mosque. Therefore it is lawful, and very few people suggest going outside the law. They just argue that it is bad regardless, and muslims should wake up because nobody is buying their claims of healing. We all know it is bs. And you would be correct on both counts. Eventually those hold outs will wise up and realize the offense is greater than the historical value. Especially 100 years later when the symbols mean little else to anyone. I believe Ol Ms is currently rectifying their mascot to reconcile this issue. Though it is debatable if Landshark is less offensive. It is a matter of free speech and it is in poor taste. They should have the commmon sense to let it go. It's also free speech for the crazy church to go scream "God hates fags" near military funerals, but we have the common sense to know it is poor taste. Does the law ban them? No, people just ban together and make it uncomfortable for them so they quit before they start. Why do muslims want to put themselves in the same boat? Because they are not trying to heal. They are trying to divide and use our own freedoms against us. Do you think muslims believe they will not be protested or incite hate from the crazies? They are counting on it. And will re-broadcast it all over the muslim world to perpetuate the hate they share for infidels. It's pure propaganda. I don't argue that it is illegal, I just say the truth about it's purpose must be acknowledged. And if what I say is true, the people that oppose it cannot be called bigots, racists, or unlawful.
I completely understand why its in poor taste, my wife and I had a long discussion about why its in poor taste and she made me see even better why its in poor taste. that point is not lost on me, but I dont like the fact that people are saying its not about the constitution on this but it is on most other things. also, I wont chill out, this dude is a disrespectful piece of crap and Im giving him what he is looking for in a debate.. disrespect.
But these are states, actually states in the union and these are the policies they choose to display. Poor taste or not, they still do it and the uproar makes them no mind, I hope you see my point about the poor taste argument. I fully understand it myself.
Get over yourself hot shot. Bingo. And if the mosque was offending blacks it wouldn't stand a chance.
