I agree I hope it's the week before we play them (next week I guess).

They're on bye next week. We're their next SEC opponent I think.

Arkansas' next game is against LSU. They are on a bye coming up.

Arkansas is going to beat someone this year in the SEC and I hate that we play them right after Ali vs Frazier.

I think yahoo still showed the game on Friday. Checked lsusports.net and you're right.

I guess I'm not a "modern day fan?" Or, perhaps, Wolken reads SEC forums?

If there's a definitive moment in the misery of Ole Miss fandom, it's Oct. 31, 1959, when LSU's Billy Cannon returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown that gave the Tigers a 7-3 win. It was Ole Miss' only loss of the year, relegating the Rebels to No. 2 behind Syracuse for the national championship.

But it's also the kind of moment that resonates only in a mythical way because so few people currently associated with Ole Miss actually saw it happen. Maybe your daddy remembers, and your granddaddy almost certainly does. But the modern fan has no clue what that would have felt like because it's a story out of a different time when Ole Miss was a football power and the entire landscape of college football was unrecognizable.

But if Ole Miss fans want to say they witnessed the worst moment in program history on Saturday, don't argue with them because it's quite possible they did.

Ole Miss tops USA Today's Misery Index.
