Is CPM the "Les Miles" of baseball? Wins enough to get your hopes up and brings in great talent but often gets out coached in the important games.
I'm not overly impressed; winning games should be default at LSU baseball and coaching should make up the difference for regular appearances in Omaha: 1 NC, 4/10 to Omaha, 2/10 no super regional, 2/10 no postseason. Better than Smoke. It seemed like there were high expectations this year and our performance against the best of our schedule kinda sucks. We could still come on toward the end with a rally possum or something.
Peaking at the right time is always the key to moving on, but even when we get there we under perform. I'm used to better and CPM just hasn't done enough for me. I know it's hard to match what Skip did but with our history and facilities we should be playing in the CWS more often. We certainly bring in the talent to do it which leaves the coaching to blame.
Why over manage every time someone gets on base. Get a feel for the game please. Don't just do what's listed on your gd flowchart for every fucking runner. How many outs does he give away against good teams. It's great to run wild vs slu but you just cant in the sec. Pick your spots accordingly.
Alright the Watson experiment has run its course. Lost the ball Deichmann bails him out. Can't believe we got Maldonado out. Or lippett. Damn that Maldonado lippett relay got slaughter. Speaking of them two.
