This week the season starts for real with the SEC games. Cali, you follow Tiger BB closer than most. What's your almost a third of the season evaluation of where this team is at? My main concern is who is going to step up and take the Sunday starter job for real rather than having to rely on Johnny Wholestaff once again. I'm thinking Gilbert Gottfast and Hello Newman are in some fashion the setup and closer in whatever order CPM decides on a per game basis.
With all the arms we have had come thru, why do we "seem" to have trouble getting a Sunday man. I may be off base so correct me if I'm wrong. Friday and Saturday fall in place early but a consistent Sunday guy always seems to elude us. Do other teams have this issue?
I think it's too early to tell. The early part of the season is always a science project. I don't think we will know untill after the gay turd series where we truly stand. That includes whoever will grab their nuts and take the elusive Sunday starts. We may not even know till next season. But then we will be challenged with Friday and Saturday as well.
When Jake Latz was signed he was touted to be the equal of Lange. I would sure like to have seen what he would have done if it weren't for the injuries.
Deichmann rbi, doubles in cole drank. Sac by slaughter scores Duplantis. Watson singles then error scores Deichmann. LSU running wild on the bases. 3-0 still batting bottom 1
