We are a 4 seed nationally. LSU, winners of 16 of their last 18 games, will welcome Southeastern Louisiana, Rice and Texas Southern to the Baton Rouge Regional. The Baton Rouge Regional is matched up with the Hattiesburg Regional that consists of Southern Miss, Mississippi State, South Alabama and Illinois-Chicago. If the Tigers win the Baton Rouge Regional they will face the winner of the Hattiesburg Regional in Baton Rouge with a trip to the College World Series on the line.
I just realized Or St has only lost 4 games all year. That's insane, but that shit don't play in the CWS. Like that year we won 57(ish) games, had Aaron Nola dominating the entire year, but couldn't beat the small ball teams in Eauxmaha.
This screws my crew. We have a standing thing where if lsu and ms state ever both go to Omaha we are renting a big RV for the 10 of us and going. Dead split 5vs5 lsu vs state fans so we are trying to wait till it's both teams but that may never happen.
Find 5 more LSU fans and go. Or it's possible this year. Moo must have made the playoffs. They won't be the top seed in their regional but stranger things have happened. A few years ago Fresno State was one of the last teams to make the playoffs and they ended up winning the whole thing.
Not possible this year with state being in the Hattiesburg regional since it's matched with Baton Rouge right? Meaning they'd at best meet at supers in Baton Rouge so only 1 could get to Omaha
I'll give Mainieri a break if he wins a NC. If he peters out early, no quarter. Credit for what he's done the past few weeks; pretty impressive.
