How are we a team that absolutely sucks at bunting? I mean that worked out, but that bunt was putrid, just like every other bunt this entire year
I know you and @tirk will never be on board but screw bunting. It sucks, it had always sucked and it will always suck. It's like punting in football. I'd trade my punter for a good WR any day.
Im on board for the most part. But there's always a need for it. Just like punting. I know it goes beyond your ability to grasp but nonetheless. Straight metrics mean nothing. Situational, players ability, bullpen depth, bench depth, time of game, score of game all play a part when and if you should bunt. It's not nearly as simple as bunting sucks. But again baseball is nuanced. You, not so much.
