The 2017 LSU Baseball Season

Crazy ass game.

Unheralded will be that lefty nick bush out the pen to shut USCe down in the middle innings.

 

Gumps took the lead top 11 against the barners then gave up a run in the bottom.

No chance Bama can complete the sweep and do us any favors.

 

Gumps scored 2 runs top 13 and gave up 2 in the bottom. In the 14th now.

 

Bottom 15 11-9 gumps.

Are stars aligning?

 

I don't think any of that matters if we don't do our part. This weekend was a must win over an SC team that has lost their last 5 SEC series. We have not lived up to our potential, but good lord SC started the season in the top 5 and neither the barn nor the bells were even ranked.

It's grab your junk time. We gotta pull 2 outta 3 from both series and NOT lose the fuckin mid-weeks to even be considered contenders. A strong showing in a top heavy SEC tourney will buy us the eye test we will need to size up the post season.

So far we are still hosting a regional. But shit the bed the next 2 weekends and we are playing some corn field reigional.

3 weeks of baseball. The difference between traveling for a regional and a national seed. We are the bubble, but we control the outcome.

 

At this point I don't have much confidence that this season will meet preseason expectations, but the mantra is that Pawl is strong down the stretch.

Florida looks poised to run away with outright conference title. They only have the gumps on the road and kentucky at home. Gators have it all together right now with likely a lock on a national seed.
