u make some excellent points. i think one or two guys who may get the scheme and are pretty, have to make up for the ones that dont, but when they try, someone is going to be wide open. i understand they are inexperienced ( i get that), however- i do not like/ or want to accept the fact that they cannot grasp the scheme, the plays, and who to cover or what the coverage is supposed to be. they have 'two jobs"- school and football. how can they ever be elite and go to the next level if they cant grasp why they are even at LSU in the first place?

The bell finally rung for many of our former stars in their third or fourth year, guys like Shepard, Minter, Brooks, Steltz, Claiborne, Francois, Turner, etc didn't blossom until after a few seasons. Many more didn't contribute much their first 2 or 3 years in the system. Hell, the NFL is loaded with stars who didn't become very good until their third or fourth years.
